Dear Mom,

There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for what you have done for me in my lifetime. You are my idol, my number one fan, my best friend, and I am so proud to call you my mom. I can only hope that someday I can be as selfless as you. 

As I write, I cannot help but think about all the sacrifices you have made for us as a single mom. Never missing a single milestone, you were there for each and every gymnastics meet; you attended every school event, and I could always count on you to be there to give me advice when I needed it most. You taught me to put my family first and always show respect and appreciation for those who show me love. 

Thank you for helping me develop into a young woman who always strives for her goals and supports others. Without your endless love and support, I would not be where I am today. 

You were always there for me, and Piper too. Whether it was supporting me in gymnastics or medical school or Piper in her quest to play college volleyball, you have never doubted either of us. With so much negativity in the world, having you on our side has made this hard-to-navigate life a little less scary. 

There were many times in my life where I doubted myself,  but you were always there telling me to keep my head up and to keep moving forward. Because of you, I can proudly say I will always set my sights high and complete any task I dare to dream, no matter how difficult. 

You have taught me what it means to be a strong, selfless, independent woman, and there is nobody else I would rather call my mom. You are a blessing beyond description.  Thank you.
