Do you feel comfortable in your own skin?
Just a few years ago, I would not go out of my house without any makeup on. I tried very hard to hide behind my mask. I lived like this for a very long time. I always thought people could see my imperfections, as they were looking at me and judging me. But they weren’t. It was all in my mind.
The mind is very powerful at feeding you negative thoughts, as the brain is designed that way. It is much easier to conjure up a negative thought than a positive one. It took me a very long time to realise this. By learning how to change my mindset, combined with my knowledge in the beauty industry as a national-multi-gold-award-winning beauty therapist, I am now feeling, and looking, so much more confident in my own skin. But it wasn’t easy, and it took many years to overcome these negative thoughts. It was an ongoing, daily process, reprogramming of my subconscious mind.
I was telling myself ‘I am beautiful, I don’t need to wear makeup all the time. My skin is glowing with health.’
Now, I inspire and encourage others to look and feel great in their own skin, by sharing my own experiences on how I overcame my negative thoughts, to help ladies look and feel ten years younger.
By healing yourself from within, it will then show on the outside. You will have a natural glow, a smile that will be contagious! It will make you feel so much more positive and uplifted.
When you learn how to relax your mind and body, adopt a great skincare routine, over time, you too will be able to feel more confident within yourself. You will no longer need to cake on the makeup. You will find minimal is all that is needed. Stress can do very strange things to your skin. Acne lesions, dry skin, eczema, psoriasis. All these issues will affect your skins barrier. Even lines and wrinkles can appear when they weren’t there before. By relaxing the muscles in your face, lines can appear less prominent. When you learn how to control your stress levels, you will notice a big difference. If you truly are having great difficulty with controlling stress, always seek help from a medical practitioner, as you may need to get to the route cause first.
